Bar-B-Que Labor Day Weekend - Greensboro area.

I was thinking how Labor Day weekend is fast approaching and what I could do for the weekend. The thought occurred to me to rent a shelter at City Lake (Jamestown) and invite a bunch of democrats, from this area, to attend.

I was thinking of doing it on Sunday, September 4th at about 3 PM. It would be open to all the democrats I am inviting as well as their families. As long as their are no more than about 35-40 people, I can provide all of the hamburgers and hot dogs. That, of course, includes the buns! I think I will be able to provide most of the drinks along with potato chips.

I will need an RSVP with how many people will be in your group - spouses, friends, kids, etc....including yourself. It would be great if people wanted to bring extra things and if you want to volunteer to bring something, let me know what you would like to bring or I can let you know what I need.

If there is no interest then I will not do it, but I am approaching several Democratic groups about this to see if there is any interest. Seems like it would be a lot of fun.

at this point I am just trying to get a handle on how many people total will be interested. It is a great place. They have a park, boats, miniature golf, swimming and shelters. I am getting excited about it. It will be a great way to make friends with like minded people.
