Linda and Phil Waste of Hinesville, GA, who have 3 sons and 2 grandchildren (a grandson and a granddaughter) who are active-duty military. Together, they have already spent a total of over 57 months on tours of duty in Iraq. Several of these children/grandchildren are currently serving in Iraq, and have served extended and multiple deployments.
Iraq Veterans Against the War members:
Jimmy Massey of Waynesville, NC, was career Staff Seargent and Recruiter in the US Marine Corps. He served in the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines from January 20 to May 15, 2003, and was part of the main invasion force in Iraq. He was sent home after protesting the shooting of Iraqi civilians.
Jeff Key of Alabama, a Marine reservist, served in Iraq from March to June of 2003.

Michael T. McPhearson of Fayetteville, NC, was field artillery officer in the 24th Mechanized Infantry Division during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. His military career includes 6 years of reserve service and 5 years active duty service. Now living in Saint Louis Missouri, Michael is currently the Executive Director of Veterans For Peace.
Ann Wright of Honnalulu, HI, a member Veterans for Peace, was a career foreign service officer with the State Department who resigned her position in March of 2003 in opposition to the war in Iraq.
