WUNC hires Dick Gordon
Remember over the summer WBUR abruptly cancelled "The Connection?" I don't know about you, but I enjoyed listening to it. He mainly did news topics, but he often had an art or science history day too, focusing on a single artist or scientist. It provided a nice contrast while I edited technical stuff.

Well, if you've been listening to WUNC through the pledge drive this past week (I know, it's painful!), you've heard them announce that Dick Gordon is HERE in the Triangle! His studio is going to be in the renovated Durham Tobacco complex. His to-be-named show starts in January.

I can't wait. And maybe I'll run into him sometime! :-) Yes, I think he's cute. And his voice is mmmmMMMMMMMmmmmmm.

Link: There's a longer article, but the announcement with a pic is right on the front page.

I did hear about that during begging week. The Tobacco Complex is an awesome place. We oughtta have a DU get-together at Tyler's sometime (only painful thing there are the prices - ouch!) - but it's a nice place and they've got some great beer.

Here's something for you to drool over, meanwhile:

2. I often thought
while listening to his other show that it sounded like something WUNC would produce. It wasn't that much of a stretch between The Connection and The State of Things.
