Vandals Deface Military Recruitment Offices

(3/22/06 -- DURHAM) - Vandals targeted two military recruitment offices in Durham with slogans and red paint.

One of the protest paintings showed up along Hillsborough Road on Wednesday. Someone painted "No war" in red paint on the window of an Army National Guard recruitment office.
At least one shopper disapproved.

"I think it's more destructive than anything else," Pauline Caron said. "If people want to express themselves, there are so many ways today. But surely not by ruining other people's property." <snip>

Yeah, Pauline, I kinda feel the same way: if people wanna fight unnecessary wars, surely they can do it without killin folks and blowin stuff up ...
