anyone know what the weather is like in Asheville NC today?

we will be driving up I-40 about 5:00PM- from Raliegh NC

1. the local news reported some 'snow in the Mtns'

but i'm in the triangle, it's pretty dreary here.

2. Im up in Blowing Rock/Boone - we're barely getting a dusting, usually

Asheville doesn't get as much as us since they're at a lower elevation. But we moved up here from Raleigh and around here, they actually have the equipment to clear the streets. We can get 8-12" of snow overnight and they'll still have the roads cleared by 10 or 11 am.

Down in Raleigh, all we ever got was ice - which is impossible to drive on. Up here, we actually get snow. Hope that helps - have a great trip.
