Voter Advocacy group urges voters to verify their vote when they go to the polls this May 2nd
Starting with this Tuesday’s primaries, all North Carolina voters can look forward to seeing a paper ballot when they vote.
The Voter Verified Paper Ballot protects your vote - make use of it!
Starting with Tuesday's primaries, voting is permitted only with optical scan machines, electronic recording machines (touchscreens) or paper ballots counted by hand. Electronic machines provide a paper printout that can be corrected by the voter before a ballot is recorded. This paper record will be retained by the election officials for audit and recount purposes.

voting machines look like.
