DURHAM, N.C. -- A second exotic dancer who performed at a March 13 Duke University lacrosse team party where a woman says she was raped and assaulted by three athletes made an obscene gesture at a television camera during court proceedings on Tuesday.

When Kim Roberts noticed WRAL's camera in the courtroom, she made the gesture and then stuck out her tongue.

The newscast, minus commercial time, can't be more than about fifteen or twenty minutes daily, with a heavy emphasis on "if it bleeds, it leads" crime stories with nice shots of revolving patrol car cherries and a heavy-breathing announcer. I guess if everybody in NC gestured at their news wagon, WRAL would save even money on their "investigative journalism."

Sure, if WRAL wants to run bullshit non-stories, that's their editorial decision, and they're responsible for what their own decisions.

1.) Who the hell cares? This has nothing to do with the victim and her case, and

2.) She shouldn't have done it in court, but good for Roberts. The media are scum about stories like this, and have went after her with knives drawn. (and yes, I mean Roberts, not the victim)
