He came up to the lady with the kid-in above photo and started yelling at her for carrying her FOLDED up banner/flag towards our table! He damanded that she NOT bring it into the festival area.
I don't get that at all- what if it was going to be part of the display? We were MUCH closer (like 4 tables away) to our table than the other end of the street. He actually confiscated it, even the other 2 police people with him appeared embaressed by his actions but you could tell they felt they couldn't go against what he said at that point.
the other interesting point is that in reguards to the parade; the progressive unit was at the end, following the garbage trucks- intentional I suspect, BUT- WE were the GRAND finally! so that was kind of cool actually!
