Shuler gets boost from ex-Gov. Hunt (NC-11)

ASHEVILLE — Jim Hunt will appear at a fundraiser Saturday for Health Shuler as the former four-term governor lends his network of political ties to the first-time congressional candidate.

About 400 to 500 people are expected at event at the Blue Ridge Motion Picture Theater in Asheville, where the cost will come to $100 a couple, Shuler spokesman Andrew Whalen said.

Shuler is trying to unseat Rep. Charles Taylor, R-Brevard, who has served eight terms representing the 11th Congressional District.
