anyone following the chem plant explosion over in Apex NC?

breaking news at this moment, large section of Apex either being evacuated or locked down, potentially deadly gasses in a cloud of smoke over the plant.
edit: i just got in, and didn't realize this fire started 4 hours ago, WRAL is covering it like it just happened, and wrote the above before hearing the time, etc.

i'm not in that area, but damn close, wondering which way the wind is blowing. This plant handles hazardous materials, pcbs, pesticides, chlorine, etc. I understand they are letting the fire burn itself out???

Apex. It's basically a bedroom community to Durham and RTP, lots of people living there.

He opened his shop because it's a couple of miles from the actual explosion. He was the only shop owner to open in his ares, but he feels the media are making it out to be a bigger deal than it actually is. I hope he's right.
