Seminar at UNC re: Child labor around the world, US and Brazil- impact on health
Please note that while registration is not required, an RSVP would be greatly appreciated.

Child Labor in Brazil

Presented by:
Dr. Anaclaudia Gastal Fassa
Associate Professor of the Post-graduate Program in Epidemiology Federal University of Pelotas, Brazil


The objectives of the presentation be:
To provide an overview on child labor and health, describing child labor in the world and particularly in US and Brasil, as well as its impact on health.
To present the Pelotas- Brazil Child Labor and Health study, describing the child labor characteristics and the impact of child labor on musculoskeletal and behavior problems.
To discuss the difficulties to define the Hazardous Child Labour list, a requirement for countries that signed the 182 International Labour Organization Convention.
Epidemiologists, and others working with occupational health or child labor itself would be interested.
