If so, then I recommend signing up for medicare A & B, B is for doctors visits.
Also, I suggest buying a supplimental plan that pays the difference between what medicare pays and whats left to your Mom.
However, you can decide if that is what she needs.
My mother has been sick alot, and we would really have had it rough without having a medicare B to pay.
Especially if there are hospitalizations and lots of tests.
Then, there is Medicare Part D (prescriptions).
If your mother gets a supplimental to cover A&B Gaps, it may provide Medicare Part D as well.
If your mother has an expected prescription costs of $200-300 or more per month, than there are Part D plans that cost a little more (like about $70 a month) that don't have the donut hole, and will save you thousands each year.
