1. wonder how much he's getting for that appearance...
I remember when Ann Coulter came here to UNC and got 25K for her pathetic performance.

2. Pfffft!
HE ought to be paying US to put up with his sorry sociopathic butt.

It's just sad - it makes me feel dirty to have that cretin in this state - too close for comfort - like he's a walking disease and I don't want him NEAR me.

Eggghhhhhhh!

4. I don't get it either. But he's being brought here by a bu$h crony...
...a Duke PoliSci professor, Peter Feaver. Turd Blossom is a former colleague of Feaver's in the White House.

From this week's Indy:

Peter Feaver: "...a conservative in a liberal-leaning political science department, Feaver has conducted research on national security, civil-military relations and nuclear weapons. Feaver argued that, based on his analysis of opinion polls on the Iraq War, the public will support a winning war even with mounting casualties. That ANALysis garnered the attention of the White House. As public support for the war declined, Feaver was recruited to serve on the NSC and during his stint there, helped draft a 35-page public plan for victory in Iraq."

SO -- in other words, the typically misinformed Republcan, Feaver, said something the bu$hit crime ring liked and they recruited him to help sell the failed occupation in Iraq to the American public. Apparently he befriended Turd Blossom there.

So there's the story.

Feaver, too, will be moderating this discussion.

After Turd Blossom is gone, I think Duke's Page Auditorium might need to be sprayed down in chlorine bleach in order to get rid of the e-Coli that he will have slimed the place with.

Ick. :puke:

5. Code Pink will be there
and recommends creating small signs or tshirts that Rove can read when
you stand in the audience with your back turned towards him.

7. I hope the whole audience
turns their back to him
and sticks their fingers
in their ears. I hope he
gets the same disrespect that
Gonzo got.
He makes me sick.

8. Event details, and Q&A session!
It would be great to have somebody ask him to defend his recent lies about how the mean old bullying Congress pushed poor little peace-loving Bushco into invading Iraq.

Here's the event detail from Duke University News.

Karl Rove to Speak at Duke Dec. 3

The public is invited to hear the former deputy chief of staff and senior advisor to President Bush.

Durham, NC -- Karl Rove, a former senior staff member of the Bush administration, will speak from 6-7 p.m. Dec. 3 in Duke University’s Page Auditorium.

“A Conversation With Karl Rove” will be moderated by Duke political science professor Peter Feaver. A question-and-answer session will follow the discussion.

The public is invited to attend. Tickets are free and available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Page Auditorium Box Office. There is a $3 service fee for reserving tickets online.

Rove, the former deputy chief of staff and senior advisor to President Bush and the architect of Bush’s two successful presidential campaigns, resigned from the White House on Aug. 31. Among the topics to be explored are the future of American politics, the 2008 presidential election and emerging challenges for the country both at home and abroad.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity for the Duke community to hear first-hand from one of the most consequential political figures in American public life,” said Feaver, who recently ended a two-year term on the White House’s National Security Council. “Karl Rove has had a remarkable career and has figured prominently in most of the major political events of the past seven years. I expect there will be great interest in his visit and in what he has to say.”

The event at Duke is co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost; the Office of the President; Duke Union Major Speakers, an undergraduate student organization; the political science department and the Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy.
