Triangle Folks: Monthly game night?
Edited on Mon Feb-04-08 08:05 PM by supernova
Could be board cames or card games, whatever.

I was thinking about Midlodemocrat and her monthly Bunko nights. If you don't visit the Lounge, she takes mucho ribbing about it. :-)

So, last month during the holiday shopping frenzy, I bought a deck of Rook cards and would love to get a group together to learn to play.

Could be fun.

If you are interested, PM me.

1. I might be interested, Haven't played in a long time.
Would also enjoy board games, most card games (bridge, hearts, O Hell), even things like charades

Maybe we should play Risk. I believe that if Bush, Cheney, et al had played Risk when growing up, they would have been painfully aware that trying to take and hold the Middle East is a losing strategy. My family also learned that a skilled adult player with vastly superior forces was not enough to defeat an eight-year-old who could repeatedly roll double-sixes!

Risk would not really be a good choice for a game night because a full game takes a while and players start being eliminated fairly early. We found it to be a good family game for a while; whichever adult was eliminated first usually fixed dinner.

2. I would enjoy learning Risk
Somehow never got around to that one. I did play Battleship a lot. :D

I just thought it would be fun to have a sociable game night where you could play a little, visit a little, and so on. ;-)

4. I like Scrabble. Dylan and I might be able to make it sometimes.
We are putting our house on the market in April, planning to move to Atlanta
at the end of July. We'll be around until then. :hi:
I'm going to miss it here. :(
We have to move down there to help my parents, Mom's dementia is getting really bad.
