Fifty non-profit groups are holding a news conference tomorrow, the 14th, in Fargo, about the budget reconciliation bill. The bill cuts student loans, health care for kids, school lunches, food stamps, and more, then takes all that money and gives out an obscenely huge tax cut (at least $70 billion), more than three-fourths of which will go to the top 3 percent of rich Americans.
How insane is that?
Check it out at
The People Escaping Poverty Project and consider going - I would, but unfortunately I'm in Bismarck.
(The non-profits are all non-partisan, but they're right in line with the Democratic Party on this issue - none of the Dems like these non-sensical budget cuts and tax breaks.)
