Flooding -- James River (dialup warning)
Edited on Thu Apr-16-09 03:01 AM by Qanisqineq
This is the flooding on the James River in and around LaMoure. One of these is of my parents' farm. In the second picture the water is now OVER the highway. I believe these were taken around April 13th, 2009.

Edit because one picture got repeated 3 times. Oops!

3. At this point, I'd wait 12 hours since otherwise it may fade down fast tonight
that is quite a picture, looks like a very nice place, when dry. Post it in GD with some sort of sexy subject line, let people know that this is still going on. Best of luck to them

4. What beautiful pictures...and sad...
My father grew up in LaMoure, my grandmother was the postmistress there for a long time (a really really long time ago!). I've spent almost all my life in Pennsylvania, but North Dakota names always jump out at me. I hope and pray that everything is settling down and drying out now. All the best to everyone there.
