1. My Republican MIL is now voting for Strickland
I am visiting my MIL from California with my 2 boys. She is VERY republican but extremely nice and thoughtful. We went to see Ted Strickland today - she introduced herself after the event to him and said she was so pleased "to meet the next governor of Ohio". Woo hoo! I feel so honored to be a small part of her decision! Good luck Ohio. This is a wonderful state.

3. He is a wonderful human being isn't he?
It would be so depressing for our State if he is not our next Governor. We have such a great opportunity with him. I have the last minute or so of his speech recorded. I can send it to you. I also have a pic of you speaking with him. :) Can't see your face very well tho...

4. Ted Strickland
I've had the opportunity to hear him twice. The first time, it was a good speech. The event I went to in Wooster tonight, he was great!

He began the speech by describing his humble childhood. He also spoke of his family and the blue collar workers in his family that he holds in such high regard and also knows that the fruits of his family's labor is what allowed him to have an advanced education and become a U.S. Congressman. He gave his assurances that as Governor he will always keep the best interests of the average Ohioan as a priority. He is not a politician that has lost perspective while being immersed in a "CEO, politician, lobbyist" crowd. He is anchored by his family that is representative of most Ohioans.

He was impressive, very impressive. He gets it. He spoke of the need for Ohioans to have adequate access to education, health care and quality jobs. He encouraged alternative energy innovation and investment. He spoke of his disappointment in the current polarization in our communities. He is welcoming to all. He is a cheer leader for Ohio. He IS THE MAN that will bring Ohioans together to work for the betterment of Ohio!
