Pugs are seeing the Light in Ohio....
Saw this over at Raw Story. I read The Dispatch yesterday but missed this article or do they have articles that are just on-line?

Anyway...Free Trade mean JOBS lost in Ohio.

1. Regardless of what some of the people are saying in that article about
free trade being good for OUTBOUND business, the sentiment among the voters is more of a "bring it back" mode, and no matter if a Dem bucks free trade, the sentiment is on their side right now.

Look, if we all have to pay the same for a TV, eventually the price wars will begin. If TV's were all made right here in the USA, the market would eventually drive the price down.

Personally, I do not consider $900.00 for a TV to be competitive in any way at all...flat panel or no.

2. NAFTA exports-up bullshit
"If you look at the Ohio numbers, our exports to the NAFTA countries have doubled since NAFTA went into effect," said DeWine. "We have to trade; we have to sell overseas. The new economy of Ohio absolutely depends on sales overseas. That’s our future."

Most of our new "exports" to Mexico are raw materials and components that come back to us in the form of a finished product. The value added is in Mexico. On the balance, we are not "selling" anything to Mexican consumers or businesses. We get no gain.

3. I think the only thing we are selling to Mexico is
corn....which undercuts their farmers thus putting them out of business....and thereby creating illegal immigrants in the US. Think of all the Mexican farmers NAFTA has put out of business.
