Elizabeth Kucinich to lead peace walk in Ohio
Between 12th and 21st September UN International Day of Peace, Elizabeth Kucinich, the wife of Congressman Dennis Kucinich, plans to link students, inter-faith and community groups, peace, environment, women's and family organizations by walking point-to-point, the 60 miles from Oberlin College to Baldwin Wallace, then onto Downtown Cleveland (Case, CSU, Tri-C), with themed events for their action and participation at each location.

She, in partnership with the Peace Alliance, would like to invite you to join us in the planning and participation of these September events bringing the community of Greater Cleveland together in awareness of Environmental Sustainability, Unity, Prosperity and Peace, promoting House and Senate legislation to form a cabinet-level Department of Peace (74 co-sponsors).

Provisional event dates are as follows:

12th September Oberlin Event (Environment)
– EJK embarks on the 30 mile walk to Baldwin College, joined by walkers for the first few miles of the journey

14th September
- EJK arrives at Baldwin Wallace
- Second event

19th September
- EJK leaves Baldwin Wallace College, heading to downtown Cleveland

21st September
- EJK arrives in Cleveland for a series of events based around Peace, Sustainability, Equity and Prosperity.

Events could include: Film showings, music and dance performances, talks, walks, a rally

Please contact Aaron (aaron thepeacealliance.org) at the Peace Alliance for further information, or to offer to help organize/participate in an event.
