Little good news for Blackwell

A Quinnipiac University poll in the Ohio governor’s race shows Democrat Ted Strickland trouncing his Republican rival Ken Blackwell, 55 percent to 34 percent.

Strickland's lead is large and solid with only 18 percent of Strickland's voters saying they might change their minds.

Not only have most voters made up their minds, more have an unfavorable view of Blackwell than a favorable one. And Strickland won 40 percent of self-described evangelical Christians, typically an overwhelmingly Republican voting bloc.

"The good news for Blackwell is that he's running substantially ahead of Taft,” Brown said.
