Someone tell David Broder to stay the hell out of our Senate race
Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 01:49 AM by VolcanoJen
His latest Washington Post editorial is even more shrill, nasty, bitter and senseless than usual.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/20/AR2006092001586.html

Choice excerpts:

Now, however, you can see the independence party forming -- on both sides of the aisle. They are mobilizing to resist not only Bush but also the extremist elements in American society -- the vituperative, foul-mouthed bloggers on the left and the doctrinaire religious extremists on the right who would convert their faith into a whipping post for their opponents.

Keep in mind that the "independents" he cites in the following paragraphs are exclusively Republican Senators who already hold office. Oh, except for Joe Lieberman, of course. His standard for "independents" is a bit staggering.

Then he throws out this little gem... Mike DeWine is one of the "new breed of independents," everyone.

You might want to sit down before reading this.

I'll wait.

OK... ready? Here we go...

Similarly important, though less publicized, is Republican Sen. Mike DeWine's race in Ohio. DeWine is an ally of McCain & Co. in forming a center for the Senate; his opponent, Democratic Rep. Sherrod Brown, is a loud advocate of protectionist policies that offer a false hope of solving our trade and job problems.

:eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Hard to believe this guy continues to get published.

1. Gore&Kerry,whose know-it-all arrogance rankled Midwesterners such as mysel
I doubt if Broder went to Ohio or the midwest and did any actual reporting during 2000 and 2004.

Is this moron published in any Ohio newspapers? I would like to write a counter letter.

5. David have you ever wondered Broder
David Broder was the first outsider that ragged on Paul Hackett and it was so early on that anyone could tell he had a motive for his comments. At that point in time about the only thing that Hackett did other then attempt to win that seat was to be one of the first Americans to call Bush a few names.
He's been on my list and in time he will end up stuck in the Fox Network with the rest of ass suckers.
