COLUMBUS – On the heels of a nation in shock over Pagegate, the Anonymous Chocolatier has struck with a parody once again.
“It’s time to stop playing politics and parsing terms. Regardless of partisanship or elections, any leader the stature of Speaker Hastert should resign if he has known for three years that Congressman Foley’s behavior is inappropriate,” said Brian Rothenberg, Executive Director of ProgressOhio.org.
“Deborah Pryce has had quite a year defending friends like Bob Ney, Tom Delay and Mark Foley from her perch as the number four leader of the U.S. House. It should not take published scandals for her to open her eyes. Rep. Pryce needs to stop parsing terms and demand Speaker Hastert’s resignation over emails, im’s or even staff notifications of Rep. Foley’s behavior,” said Rothenberg. “To couch the issue in terms of resignation over im’s as opposed to emails, phone calls or staff notifications, is not acceptable.”
As for the Anonymous Chocolatier’s audio, first known for his parody of the Noe scandal by distributing gold chocolate Noe coins, and later for his YouTube video, the Chocolatier distributed to ProgressOhio.org his latest parody this morning.
The song is a parody set to the Yankee Doodle tune, titled Debbiedoodle.
