Recruit a Republican Today!
I had the best time listening to some R friends last nite talking about their Party crashing and burning. One of them was talking about having given Zach Space a sizable donation early on in his campaign even though they are from opposite parties. Not to be outdone, another guy, a mutual R friend says, "I want to meet this Zach Space guy." For another sizable donation, he gets to!

In the meantime, the first R guy is flying with his daughter to Washington next week because he has decided he wants to meet Bill Clinton (another sizable donation coming our way).

Hurray!!

1. Copying and posting at HQ
Thanks, Poli. I'm off to work. After being at home all week with a dreadful cold, I need to find out all the latest news. I've got my talking points ready to go. Hope I snag a republican today.

2. Be sure to help us recruit republicans on the Enquirer Politics blog...
It is attracting more eyeballs than any other Gannett owned newsppaer blog other than Bengals. And that means lots of eyebals. And the best aprt is it is something you can do from home in your pajamas.

For example we are slaying the Mean Jean supporters.

4. Good idea
I have two Republicans in mine. One has already told me he is voting for Strickland. I think he'll stay R, but we'll get some cross over vote from him this time. the other R also told me they were voting for Strickland and has forwarded some AFL-CIO stuff to me via e-mail. I think I'll keep conversing with him on why Dems overall are better and support his views on labor issues... baby steps....

I've already got several independents. My entire immediate family - all Is - I'm pretty confident they're all voting straight D this year. I've given them all applications for absentee ballots.

5. hope your R friends vote for Sherrod too
Not only has Sherrod been looking out for our troops & Ohioans, we need a majority in the house &
senate to get the country back on track.

Nice work.

6. me too.
R1 is a toss up - He's pretty much involved in the R party and not likely to switch parties - but disgusted with the current direction of his party. R2 - very likely I can get him to vote for Sherrod. He's a Union guy and if I talk with him enough, I think not only can I get him to vote for Sherrod, but to become a Dem.

I am working the votes for Sherrod - like I said, my "I" family - I think I've got them voting straight D this year, plus several people I registered for the '04 election - I've kept working on them and I'm pretty confident they're voting straight D. I've also got a LTTE in for Sherrod, I've been phone banking and will be canvassing next weekend.

I've heard Sherrod talk about reaching out to 5 voters that may not vote, that aren't sure how they would vote, etc... and.. I have 5 in mind. I'm going to send them personal letters and follow up.

7. u sound very persuasive ...
dont know if you saw my post, in this forum (Ohio), about my experience voting on Friday.

But if you have a convert willing to vote D, ask them to consider going to the BOE & voting.

I dont expect much to change between now & Nov 7th, but * & his pals are good @ lying and creating
illusions with smoke-n-mirrors...Dont know what new lies they'll conceive between now & Nov :-)

Good luck & God bless...
