(absentee of course)
A dem friend that served on the BOE mentioned that you can vote absentee right then and there.
So I went down to the BOE, filled out the absentee form (name, addr, driver's lic #), the lady behind the counter checked my license and gave me a card for the touchscreen machine, the same kind we used during the primary.
I was in and out of the voting booth in 10 minutes, about half a dozen people voted the same time I did.
In case you were wondering :
- I voted for all the dems.
- Against both anti-smoking issues (sorry, former smoker here, I have watched smokers' rights steadily erode for the last 14 years since the Clintons moved into the white house in 1992)
- For issue 3, I philosophically oppose casinos in Ohio, but I see no down side to having slots at the race tracks ( gambling places to begin with ), bring them up to par or better than those in neighboring states.
- For all 3 local school levies
- For the work comp amendment (dont really know what it was about)
- (I can't remember what else was on the ballot)
And I was done ! Woo Hoo !
I would encourage anyone who can, to vote early via absentee, especially if there is a history of delays or long lines at your polling place.
I wonder why we haven't had this for all these years.
