Strickland widens lead in poll

Blackwell trails 59 percent to 32 percent with three weeks until Nov. 7 election

If a new poll on the Ohio governor's race is accurate, there's not much of a race left.

The poll has Democratic Congressman Ted Strickland leading Republican Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell by 27 points.

Released Wednesday by Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, the poll shows Strickland leading Blackwell 59 percent to 32 percent, with less than three weeks to go before Election Day. The poll -- which has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 percent -- shows that 9 percent of voters are undecided and 13 percent say they might change their minds before Nov. 7.

A September Quinnipiac poll showed Strickland at 55 percent and Blackwell at 34 percent.

We need to keep this moving up and get Blackwell every chance we get. Blackwell is getting desperate and will do anything to get elected.

to see this idiotic fucker go down, I've been waiting a long time for it. I don't trust him at all, either, and I wouldn't put it past him to pull some shit to get his incompetent, clueless, reactionary ass in the guv's mansion. Thing is, he's so far behind in all of the polls that if he WERE to pull some shenanigans to get into office, this time he likely wouldn't get away with it since it'd just be too suspicious. If Ohioans themselves didn't give a shit, there would certainly be national scrutiny and attention.
