Space's campaign centers on a "Washington is broken" stance that
indicts Republicans for the war in Iraq and backs traditional
Democratic principles on health care, trade and tax cuts he thinks
benefit only the wealthy in America.
But he offers more than just partisan stances. He spoke eloquently
about the lack of civility in politics these days, vowing to focus on
restoring the art of moderation when dealing with those holding
differing views. He also promised to view every issue through the lens
of how it will help or harm working families.

Beyond major questions surrounding her personal and business
bankruptcy, we remain outraged by her 2004 advertising directed at
former Lebanon hostage Terry Anderson during an Ohio Senate race.
Anderson is the foreign correspondent who was kidnapped by terrorists
for nearly seven years, but Padgett incredulously claimed he was soft
on terrorists in a mailing and TV ads. We can't fathom why voters
elected her after such a shameful display.
