Democrats running for statewide office are poised for a big day at the polls next week, according to a new Mason-Dixon poll for The Plain Dealer.

No surprise in the gubernatorial contest, where Ted Strickland maintains a 19-point lead over Ken Blackwell, 56 to 37.

The big surprise is in the race for attorney general, which the poll suggests is dead even. Democrat Marc Dann and Republican Betty Montgomery each claimed the support of 44 percent of respondents.

In the race for Secretary of State, Democrat Jennifer Brunner leads Republican Greg Hartmann, 41 to 32.

Glad to see Dann's numbers go up -- last I heard he was significantly behind.

We just may sweep the state offices! (Not celebrating yet -- still cautiously optimistic!)

Plenty of :beer: :toast: :party: on Nov. 8th. Until then I'll do what I can to turn Ohio blue!

her bus was in the used car dealership across the street from repub HQ,
and across the street from the post office in medina.

This will be a close race.
