From the Cincinnati Enquirer; you'd think they'd have noticed the cameras were rolling. The Jean Schmidt video is up on
Atrios.Pair Threatened With ArrestEnquirer reporter Janice Morse and photographer Tony Jones are now being permitted to enter a Butler County polling place after they were threatened with arrest earlier this morning while attempting to photograph and interview Congressman John Boehner as he voted.
Boehner had told the media he would available for interviews this morning, but Jones and Morse were told by poll workers that they could not come into the polling place, which is at the Church of the Nazarene on Tylersville Road.
West Chester Township police had arrived at the church and were talking with poll workers.
Meanwhile, a videographer with WCPO-TV (Channel 9) was challenged by pollworkers about 6:30 a.m. after he shot video of U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt voting in Clermont County. Bob Morford, news director, said authorities cited law regarding polling procedures. The crew member left with his video, which the station plans to use. WCPO is pursuing further legal advice.
