We had this discussion last night at my Dem's HG. We had to get the S.O.S and the A.G. for sure and I forget what other one, sorry I have been up for well over 30 hours. Maybe one of our fellow Ohio DUers can answer this for us.
But I know we got it!

I did catch about two hours of sleep, then headed over to the VFW to clean up the mess. What a party last night! There were wall to wall people. I felt so bad for the poor custodian who was cleaning when I left today.
Thank you for all your work on Sherrod's campaign. That was a fantastic victory.

2. Need 2/3 of Gov, SOS, & Auditor. The other two are a Dem and a GOP |
|
...from the legislature. We got it.
I wonder if our meager one-seat pickup in the House is due to the GOP gerrymandering of Ohio. I wonder if Brunner is allowed to revisit that before the next census. It probably depends upon Ohio law. Rick Perry and Tom Delay got away with that in Texas. Why not Ohio?

3. The R's were already looking at it |
|
and planned a re-visit after the election. It will be interesting to see how they proceed now....

5. We never would have won if the Rs had put up a viable candidate |
|
Bankrupt Joy was a flawed candidate who made an easy target. We beat her in a heavily Republican district. Now I think I'll go change the clothes I put on yesterday morning. I haven't had a chance to do that yet.

I knew it was the Gov and S.O.S I have no idea why I said AG...long night I guess. I wasn't sure if it was the Auditor or AG, so thanks for clearing that up!

7. Do you mean so that the crazy gerrymandering crap |
|
can be corrected?
The districts here are crazy, like skinny long tubes up and down the state.

8. We can gerrymander them to our advantage |
|
Ohio will probably lose two seats in the next census. We are losing people to other states. I hope the democrats use logic in creating new districts. It's one way of pointing out to the voters that we are the "adult" party that serves the people. I would hate to see us create some monstrosity like the Ohio 6th or 18th.
