The votes are in a large part from blacks, students, and urban areas. Also about 10,000
absentee ballots too in the 41,000 uncounted.

Deb Pryce better be working on her concession speech.

3. This will not just be a "pick-up;" this will make American history
Mary Jo Kilroy is smart and grounded. She's an (Irish) fighter and will fight for the underclass and the middle class and she knows her books and potatoes Policy. She's a litigator, been an executive; she can do anything. Anyone who has met her knows what I am saying. There isn't a more solid candidate out there, and, if enuf people have met her, she will be elected.

Provisional ballots, for the reasons people do provisional voting, folks, are in our favor.

Deb Pryce should just go down to Florida with Betty Montgomery and get sex or something . Pryce and Montgomery never deserved to be in the positions they are in to begin with. Oh, oh, and did I say how happy I am Montgomery lost. That was the sweetest victory, as much as I love a couple of the other newly elected candidates.

It's a new day.

4. Not a guarnteed pick up yet.
The exit polls had Mary Jo winning and the outstanding votes all SHOULD
favor her but this Columbus, OH.

Remember the repugs put 2,000 "workers" and $2,000,000 into this
race at the tail end of the campaign .... Pryce is a pit bull and will
stop @ nothing to keep power.

5. The Montgomery defeat
was very rewarding!!! I was surprised that we picked up AG but not Auditor...

I do hope Kilroy pulls out the victory! Fighting Irish... sounds good... Even a few generations removed, my Irish family has a grounding in the importance of working for the middle class and those that don't have as loud of a voice as some....

Whenever I hear one of my family members say something about illegal immigrants or minorities, I remind them that our ancestors were called dirty Micks and looked down upon by many in society. I remind them to remember where they came from. And, that is from average working class people that were given an opportunity to make their lives better. Our ancestors fought for equal rights, for workers' rights and as a woman, for women's rights.

6. they are practically the only ones that understand anymore
both of my grandfathers (not Irish but nevertheless) died from working in coal and steel mines. They and their comrades fought for us, so we wouldn't have to go down in the mines with canaries anymore.

7. exactly poli!
people have to remember how bad it was, to appreciate all that the Union movement and workers' rights legislation has given us.

It took our family several generations in America before the first one could go to college. My point to my family being that our ancestors came to a new country, looking for a better life, had to overcome the odds of discrimination and oppression to fight for us. Shouldn't this opportunity be offered to the best and brightest in our Society today rather than creating hurdles for those that are not the most affluent or have the right connections? (and we are not an affluent family, but main-stream working class and have it better than some)

I could go on and tell you about my b/f's family that is working in the coal mines in WV and the decimation of workers' safety that they have witnessed over the past 6 years, the life changing injuries that they have sustained, or the Columbian couple where the wife didn't earn her citizenship for several years and worked in sweat shops right here in the Cleveland area for pennies...

8. Anyone know how she's doing right now?
I haven't seen any numbers since last night. I really hope she takes it. I used to live in Pryce's district, and left just a couple months shy of this election - I really wish I could've been there long enough to vote against Pryce! I still live close enough to the area that I've seen all the ads - she's run a really dirty campaign, and what has she really done for Franklin County?
