Ohio Majority Radio - Action Items And Tuesday's Activities

It has been a very long 7 days for those of us at Ohio Majority Radio but it's been well worth it.

As this message is being sent, we have received 1,360 signatures since the petition went live early on December 27th. Of those signatures, 1,012 people took the time to put in a comment.

Our team has been working hard to make this more than just a place to sign their name and to forget that this is an ongoing process.

We have now put up specific action items that we request you to do, from contacting the station (we give all the information) to writing letters to the editor, to contacting local and national Democratic officials to recruit their help in this cause.

Just today I got an email saying that this has also happened in Buffalo! The right wing has decided that they've had enough of our "free speech" and it's time to shut us down.

Don't let them do that.

Fight back.

Take action.

This is a work in progress and we need your help and your feedback to make it work for all of us.

And as for Tuesday, one of our initial team members is scheduled to speak live with Stephanie Miller at 9:30am. "Dave From Columbus (Gahanna Actually)" is a regular emailer to Stephanie and she loves to read his "comedy newsletters" as she calls them. Dave will be breaking his silence and actually calling in. Tune in at 9:30am to listen. If you can't make it, the audio will be posted later that evening on our website.

Stephanie, Jim and Chris have been working with us since literally Christmas night on this project and we owe them our thanks.

2. 2,007 And Rising!

There has been a steady pace of people signing the petition to keep Progressive Radio in Columbus.

Thank you, everyone, even the 35 knuckledraggers who make themselves feel better about losing the House and Senate by saying childish things on the site.

3. Who are going to sponser the programming

I understand hourly rates don't come cheap without sponsers.

5. Air America in Columbus was offering ad slots for $10. And not getting it.

It was interesting though, because ordinary people were selling their houses on the radio for $10 bucks an instance. I never saw that before.
