The minimum wage hike that sailed through Congress has been blocked in the Senate.
When the vote for cloture came up so that the minimum wage bill could be voted on only 55 votes could be found (60 required). George Voinovich was one of the group that voted against cloture.
This is after Ohio had voted by a solid majority to raise the minimum wage in this State. How can he claim to be representing Ohio in blocking the vote in the Senate? Wasn't Voinovich one of the guys complaining Bolton wasn't going to get an up or down vote?
Here is the role call vote for cloture.
