Mary Jo Kilroy is running again in 2008 for Ohio Congressional District 15
I have just received a request to recommend her as a Progressive Patriot. Sherrod was able to leverage his votes on the Progressive Patriot website into a substantial campaign contribution from Russ Feingold and the Patriots during his Senate race.

You can start working on 2008 now by going to

Thanks. I wrote that she's smart, committed and compassionate. She would have won last time around had not the Republicans dumped millions of dollars into tv ads the last two weeks of the campaign. The voters will not be fooled again.

2. Odds are are real good that Kilroy won last time
Pyrce never polled above 44 %, Mary Jo had a 12 point lead w/ 3 weeks to go
and Fox News exit polls called the race for Kilroy 52 to 48% @ 8:30 PM 11/7.

3. Botany, I think they raised enough doubts about MJK by pummeling her with
inflammatory innuendo and, arguably, prejudice-mongering of the ethnic variety.

Sometimes you just can't overcome it. There is too much fear and ignorance in the world.

What was preposterous to me was Pryce demanding an apology from MJK for being mean.

4. I know that the 15th district is drawn so as to help Pryce but .....
..... not only do the #s I posted raise some questions but the repub.
voters in Union & Madison counties had to have defied a national trend
among @ least 25% of republican voters who would not vote at all or
voted democratic out of disgust for how the country was going.

I think the tidal wave of anti bush / anti iraq war feeling was nationwide
so the repugs could not fight it everywhere but choose to make "their stand"
with Pryce. The pumped millions into the campaign and with Mat Damschroder
running the Franklin County BOE "things can happen."

Also MJK's 12 point lead with less then 2.5 weeks to go and Pryce's 44% polling
#s are a little problematic to me.

5. In my mind I think of her the winner, too. She wont be beat again, though!
Pryce is all nicey now talking about how "she just focused on her job and the business of Congress; that's how she got elected."

Pryce is dumb as a post, and the only way she got back in was with Republican committee monies and tons of it.

Bill Bennett says "not to underestimate Pryce." Like they didn't throw everything at it that they had. They didn't want to lose face because of her rank.
