Montgomery County had the first "big" fundraiser tonight. " 2007 Frolic for Funds Event". Our great Governor Strickland was there as our honored leader accompanied by my friend, Attorney General Marc Dann!!!!!! Can I say, the consensus of the room was saturated with satisfaction, a sense of real accomplishment. It was a time to relax and enjoy the smell of success.
The atmosphere was energized on many levels. There was a "coming out" of sorts for the newly elected Judges, State Representatives, Commissioners and County/City Officers. There were the incumbents who were proudly working the room with the newbies at their side, posing for each photogenic pause. Then, there was my favorite layer of the futuristic planning Democrats....The ones who were testing the waters for the 2008 campaign...and really stalking the room to see if they should take the risk.....It was a new feeling this year. Yes, winning is addicting!
