She started last Friday. She's a canvasser and just getting started, so is having a bit of a rough go at first, but I'm confident that once she gets the hang of it, she'll do a great job. I'm really happy about this for several reasons:
1. We needed her to get a part-time job to help with finances, and it's awesome she got one that is progressive and she's working to improve the lives of people in our community.
2. It helps her focus on getting her dissertation done, since she has to schedule her dissertation around a work schedule now.
3. The job will help her meet her fitness goals, since it involves about 5 hours of walking every time she works.
4. She just moved here to Columbus from Atlanta (We just got married after a five-year LDR) and it will help her make friends.
5. Did I mention it will help with finances?
Of course, the downside is that her working hours are 2 -10pm, so sometimes she doesn't get home until almost 11 some nights. (But it does give me time to play Bioshock on our xbox 360...)
If you are unfamiliar with OCA, here's their website:
