Hey Cleveland/NE Ohio/Any Other Interested Parties (Hagan comment)
I just now read this on DU:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=4958527&mesg_id=4960555

At first I was stunned; then I felt my face get hot as my BP rose. So before I fire off one very nasty letter, please help me out and tell me - is this accurate? Do you have any other similar quotes or info? If accurate, what was he thinking???

1. He's a DINO jackass.
Contemptible for SO MANY reasons besides that comment.

2. I'd send him a nasty letter if I were you. You can use
Yahoo news as your source.

This guy DESERVES a nasty letter from a constituent.

Fire away!

3. I'm not a constituent, but I'll be sending a letter anyway and forwarding the
Yahoo! newslink to family and friends along with his contact information so that they, too, may send letters.

4. He's a self-serving pompous ass that grandstands issue after issue.
and when he ran for Governor, he didn't use all his money, which really pissed me off, but I figured it was because he's selfish and self-centered and didn't have another job to fall back on. Big character flaw somewhere.

5. Bullshit Bloomburg writer strung together the worst quotes she could find
(what I posted in the other thread)

I would expect the republicans to start throwing fire bombs into the Democratic camp at every moment they can. Don't fall for this.

6. He went over the top, but it's true to some degree that race factored into the voting.
What Hagan apparently doesn't see is that his comments can also be construed as race baiting.

7. I agree AOD, poor choice of words on Hagan's part
he tends to be a bit expletive & explosive in language, a bit like Trafficant. They hail from the same neck of woods I think.

Its the old Youngstown area - steel mill / union / racketeer / quasi-mob - choice of words, behind the times.

I think he was re-iterating the old stereotypes he grew up with. As a prominent politician in Cuyahoga county he should be challenging the stereotypes rather than re-iterating them.

10. Did she do a good job?
I always wondered what kind of hairdresser would let her husband go around with that awful toupee. :)

9. I am glad I had a hand in stopping him from getting to congress...
I got enough voted in the 1992 to stop him from beating Mary Rose Oakar...

Now MRO lost to MArtin Hoke but that paved the way to Dennis...

So I guess Dennis owes his seat in Congress to me...

LOL...
