Your member of Congress, Rep. Deborah Pryce, voted "no."
Last week, the House of Representatives took up the Holt bill – legislation that would give states the money they need to secure their electronic voting machines with paper ballots in time for the November election.

Your member of Congress, Rep. Deborah Pryce, voted "no."

Tell your Representative that he or she got it wrong.

The good news is that the Holt bill got a strong, bipartisan majority vote. The bad news is that the bill had been brought up under a streamlined process that required a two-thirds majority to pass. We fell just short -- in part because the White House issued a last-minute statement urging the House to vote against this bill.

But Common Cause is not letting up, and we're not going to let the White House have the final say. With a big-change presidential election less than seven months away, we're not going to stop fighting until every voting machine has a paper record. Please stand with us as we demand that the House bring the critical Holt election reform bill to the floor again.

Let your Representative know that a "no" vote on the Holt bill is not acceptable.

Together, let's hold the members of Congress who voted against the Holt bill, including Rep. Pryce, accountable. Tell them that we're not going to let the fight for free and fair elections end here.

Thanks for all you do,

Susannah Goodman
Director of Election Reform, Common Cause
