Veteran political reporters examine Ohio politics in this weekly podcast.
In the depths of a downturn, Gov. Ted Strickland released a plan yesterday aimed at bringing more jobs to Ohio and boosting family incomes.
The plan consists of 33 new or revised economic-development programs that are intended to help the state meet new targets for income growth by 2020.
"The investments we've made in the strategic plan put forth here represent an unshakable commitment to reclaiming Ohio's prosperity," Strickland said.
The plan would shift economic-development resources to nine industries, with the goal of building Ohio's strengths.
WHEN IS HE GOING TO STOP CREATING BUREAUCRATIC PLANS AND ACTUALLY CREATE JOBS FOR OHIO WORKERS INSTEAD OF NATL/GLOBAL MARKETEERS? LOOKS LIKE TECHNOLOGY JOB CREATION ISN'T ON THE PLATE ANYMORE EITHER.
