Obama/Biden yard signs
HELP!!! For some reason we here in Guernsey County are unable to bet any Obama/Biden yard signs. We have a sign up sheets with at least 100 people waiting for yard signs and more stopping daily to see if we have any yet. I'm sick of looking at McCain/Palin signs and we have plenty of people wanting to show their support for Obama/Biden.

1. I know. we are having the same problem
We cannot even get the 100 signs that we bought off of the Obama website shipped yet. I wonder if this is part of the strategy - I've been trying to figure it out.

2. Guernsey County / Obama-Biden signs
Hello! I live in Butler County but hail from Guernsey County. Still have family back there and know there are plenty of people wanting to show there support. Have you contacted the Obama campaign directly or are you going through local democrat headquarters? I am going to our county Democrat HQ on Saturday, but am calling tomorrow to see what gives with the lack of yard and car signage.

5. Obama/Biden
Hello there! Nice to "chat" w/a former Guernsey Countyian. We have a rep from the Obama campaign who is working here (and working very hard) in Guernsey County who has been trying to get us yard signs. It's a good sign that SOOO many people are requesting them but it also looks bad that we keep telling them we are trying but can't seem to get any. I have one but was lucky enough to get it when we was able to get a "few" in one day. Hopefully a shipment will come soon. If you hear any news let me know and I'll do the same. Have a good day!!!

3. Obama is putting huge money in TV Ads
But I do know that he ordered something along the lines of 50 million (not sure of the exact amount) signs to be distributed throughout the United States. Those things are the hottest items one could hope for....simply put the campaign can not keep up with the demand!

GO OBAMA/BIDEN

4. Here in Montgomery County, Dayton,
we have the same problem, kind of: we have plenty of plastic "Obama/Biden" sleeves, but no wickets. The wickets are out there somewhere in UPS Land.

The signs were purchased by a local donor and not supplied by the Obama campaign.

This is a repeat of the K/E 2004 campaign. Back then, my co-chair of the Ohio Women for Kerry "visibility" committee donated $2K of her money to buy signs for distribution. By the time we received them from the campaign it was really late in the game. Their explanation: yard signs don't get votes.

6. I've heard that way too many times
about the yard signs don't get votes but to me the yard signs also get votes. A person drives by your house...says hmmm, if so and so is voting for Obama I will too. It also gets the message out there that people are strongly supporting Obama/Biden. We went through the same problem w/Kerry signs. Good luck with your delima.

and not with the campaign philosophy of "yard signs don't get voters."

I'm sick of driving my McSame signs and not seeing any for Obama.

I'll be checking on those wickets today and hoping UPS has found them.

BTW, I was going to welcome you to DU but after checking your profile, found you've been a member for a couple of years. Welcome to posting on our Ohio Forum!

Oh, is that why I had about four of them ripped off from my front yard in 2004?

How is the local organization this time around?

12. In Summit Obama Hdqtrs literally can't keep them in stock
They come in and they are out the door immediately. I saved my Obama sign from the primaries and plan to put that one out when I can. (My community doesn't permit signs until 30 days before the election.)

14. It's good to know
I just wish we could get them. Although my husband said our headquarters was finally able to get some so now we have to contact those that signed up for them and get them in the yards. Our local UAW union put some large ones out so it's looking better around here. I just want to show our support and let them know we are PROUD of OUR candidate.:patriot:

16. HUNDREDS of McCain signs, ONE Obama sign this weekend
I drove from Logan in SE Ohio up to Lancaster and then north up rt37 to Hebron, OH.

I passed Hundreds of McCain signs in about 50 miles, and literally ONE Obama sign.

This makes it look like there are NO OBama supporters, and I know that this is not true.

There were quite a few "Veterans for McCain" signs out also.

Someone On the statewide Obama campaign better get it in gear to get these signs out.

17. The signs are here. but by now... they're probably gone
I had the privilege of picking up some signs from ODP on Friday for our region - we got 2000, we could only haul 1000. for our local office, we were allotted a little over 100. They're probably already gone. I think someone is picking up the other 1000 tomorrow - when we get them to our office, I expect them to be gone within a day or two.

they just can't print them fast enough.

It DOES make it look like there is NO support for Obama but we have people stopping in daily at our headquarters wanting yard signs.

20. For anyone in NW Ohio I have had good luck
in getting signs from the Findlay Obama headquarters (which I find somewhat surprising since Findlay is traditionally very R).

The Lima Obama headquarters didn't have signs the last time I checked so anyone in the area may want to call/check out Findlay instead.
