1. Just voted
and glad I did early. I registered in April this year, so I was worried. No problem, didn't even have to show ID. Hancock County.

5. Didn't have to show ID?
Here in Montgomery County we require ID from every voter and when we process a voter we must record the type of ID they presented.

We're very serious about this and have sent prospective voters home to get their ID.

Are you sure proof of ID wasn't required of you?

11. For absentee ballots...
one does not have to show ID but you must list your drivers license number or the last four digits of your SS# on the ballot envelope. The number is verified from a database and then scanned. If there is an issue the BOE should call the voter for clarification. There is a place for your phone number on the envelope and they do ask for your e-mail address but the e-mail address is not required.

3. Wish it were 50%. When it comes to the lines of prior elections I am concerned.
Ohio has had ridiculous lines for minority voters in the past and it seems to me that unless you guys (I live in Texas) can get the numbers way up on early voting we have the potential for that to happen again with very negative consequences for Obama.

6. Credit must go to all the Buckeyes working for Obama's
campaign. All that hard work seems to be paying off.

Here are some statistics I stole from Buckeye State Blog:

While we’re at it, here are some stats from the Obama camps performance here in Ohio:

691,858 – Phone calls placed to fellow Ohioans by volunteers across the state last week
463,958 – Number of doors knocked last week
385,684 – Number of doors knocked this weekend
9,712 – Number of volunteers knocking doors this weekend to help beat Pennsylvania

That last bit refers to an interesting competition held between the Ohio and Pennsylvania volunteers to see which state could knock on the most doors over the weekend.

I hope we beat the Keystone state!

12. It should be a busy day at the polling stations...
I worked the general election in '04 and it was really bad. I will be working the '08 election also but the precinct I am working this year has a "good" presiding judge even though he is a rethug.

16. We got no additional training for the general election...
I think the next big primary election Warren County will do a better job of training poll workers, it not they will have to put up with my yelling at them again as I did this past spring.

but it was not done properly. I raised a lot of hell with the executive director of the Warren County BOE.

Highs near 70, with sun.
