Congressman Mike Turner (R) just may of violated election laws today!

He walked around chatting with hundreds of waiting voters inside and outside the Administration Building which houses the Montgomery County Board of Elections. There is a 100 foot rule/ away from the polls law and signs marked the boundaries outside....he just ignored them, repeatedly. Jane Mitakides his Democratic Congressional opponent, she was outside on the sidewalk with Judge Candidates who all were obeying the law.

Was this behavior against the rules/law? I was told it was...........Any feedback to share, anyone?

1. doesn't matter if it was against the election laws

While I don't know the election law, most violations are dealt with petty fines and reprimands.

Most counts of election law violations do not have the power to change the outcome of the election itself, except perhaps in the most egregious cases.

3. I just got an email message from the Mitakides campaign,

complete with photos of Turner violating campaign rules at the BOE.

He thinks he's above the law?

We need your help!

With Democratic voters turning out in droves to vote early, Jane's opponent has posted teams of people around the Montgomery County Board of Elections, and they are telling people that her Republican opponent is a Democrat...endorsed by Barack Obama!

They are handing out literature with no party indicated, for voters to take inside the voting booth!

This attempt to confuse voters could be costing valuable votes... especially if they get a Republican sample ballot in the mistaken belief it is a list of Democrats!

We are breaking records here every day -- over 3,400 people voted in person in Montgomery County alone on Saturday... and we believe Sunday exceeded Saturday... even though the voting hours weren't as long. We can't let this happen!

Congressman Turner personally entered the polls FIVE times on Saturday, shaking hands and electioneering inside the building WELL within the 100 foot mark. When angry voters began taking pictures, he left.

We need your help! Come join us in OH-3 and help us outside the polls, or contribute so we can make this stop!

It is so important that we sieze this important moment in time, to be part of history. We cannot let voter fraud taint another Ohio election! Formal complaints are being filed, but we need to put a stop to this now!

Surely they know what the man looks like, and it should not take "angry voters" to chase his ass out of somewhere that he has no place being to begin with.

My beef right now is more with the county than it is with Turner.

5. At poll worker training we were told to call the Montgomery Co.

Sheriff's dept. for help with any violation of law.

I wonder why they weren't notified? They're probably scared to death of the jerk, and the sheriff -- a Repub -- is up for re-election.

7. Two Deputies were inside but they

only want to keep the peace and are essentially clueless to the poll process and are all republicans. Nice guys but, clueless GI Joe's.
