Ohio: How long did people have to wait...
...from when they got in line to when they got to vote?

The longest wait time in MN I heard reported on the local news in MN was an hour-and-a-half in Minneapolis.

1. I only waited 10 minutes; tonight I heard someone had waited an hour and a half
but we are in a small city....

2. Polls here really didn't seem to be busy at all, after the early morning rush.
I haven't caught much local news today, though; the story may be different in urban Dayton precincts.

5. I read this morning that Ohio turnout wasn't as high as expected. (PD, I think)

Do you think a lot of Republicans stayed home?

3. Central Ohio, only lines were in the morning
We were busy in our precinct from 6:30 until about 9:30, with up to an hour wait at the peak, but most of the rest of the day voters could walk in and vote. About a third voted early/absentee.

4. Hiya Eric. In the precinct where I was a poll worker, the wait
was an hour and 10 minutes at 8:00 am. The wait was back to normal by 9:30 am and no one had to wait more than 15 minutes after that.

Seems everyone came early to avoid the long lines and instead created them.

We poll workers did our own math and we had an 83% turnout -- in my very Republican precinct!

I'm so happy.

6. In the precinct I worked in Warren County...
the wait was about an hour from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM after that no more than 15-20 minutes and some parts of the day people didn't have to wait. I heard of 2 hour waits at some of the other precincts in Warren County but that is not confirmed but probably true. In the precinct I worked about 15% of the voters voted via absentee ballot. The turn out at the precinct I worked at was about 75%. From the printout of the ballot results was over 2:1 for McCain but no big suprise considering the precinct was in Mason, OH, the most red part of the county. Of course this precinct had more Democratic Party ballots vs. Repuke ballots in the Primary Election which held true in the county. Seems to be some voter fraud going on in Warren County during the Primary Election!
