DAYTON, Oh (WDTN) - When David Boston learned that Eddie's wife Jennifer Nelson was murdered in their home he knew he had to do something for Eddie and their four year old son Willie.
"He lost his best friend, he lost his wife and his son lost a mother." Said Boston.
Eddie Nelson has been an employee at Boston's Bistro and Pub for four years.
"It's affected all us deeply" The Pub's owner said.
Boston said The Pub will hold a fundraiser at the end of the month to help Eddie and Willie move into to a new home and make new memories.
"The family has to get out of that house. They need to relocate. They had a lot of items that were stolen and they lost a car. And this little boy has to start all over."
The Eddie and Willie Nelson Fundraiser will be held January 24th, 2009
Noon - 2:30am
at Boston's Bistro and Pub located
7500 N. Main Street, Dayton
A 5$ dollar donation will get you in the door, there will be live music, a pig roast, along with live and silent auctions.
100 percent of the proceeds go to the Nelsons.
If you cant make it to the fundraiser but would still like to help, you can donate to the William Nelson fund at any branch of Fifth Third Bank.
What this is all about:
I stop in at a local Pub, The Boston Bistro in Dayton, Ohio. One of the bartenders, Eddie Nelson is husband of the murdered woman and the father of the 4 year old. The caught the murderer........Eddie Nelson works 3 jobs........The Pub is planning a fundraiser so the family can try and start over.
Here are some video clip links that explains this convoluted, senseless tragedy....The rumor on the street is the 4 year old was also molested...and saw this creep, a 22 year old, partially deaf man then shoot his mother.
She was initially tied up, broke loose, stabbed him then.......the creep shot her.......took the boy.
MSNBC story before creep was caught in Columbus, Ohio.
