Why couldn't Voinovich have just voted for the bill?
He almost joined the other 3 Republican Senators that voted for it. I heard him on NPR - he said his sticking point was that he wanted money for sewer and water districts for unfunded EPA mandates. Well - okay - I'm cool with giving some grants to them for infrastructure improvements to comply. But, he could live to fight again another day on that AND vote for this.

Especially considering that he isn't running again so he doesn't have to worry about the backlash.

AND... He could have been a DECENT HUMAN BEING and cast his vote for cloture so that Senator Brown could spend the time with his family instead of flying back and forth to D.C. in between his Mother's wake and funeral.

1. Funny thing about Voinovich...
he can't be decent. He depends on folks hearing him speak to the media prior to the vote. He never votes the way he speaks. Can't wait until he goes.

2. Because George is a whiny Rethuglican
He pretends like he cares for the cameras, then does the bidding of his keepers.

It really doesn't make sense anymore ... he isn't running for office again, but he doesn't give a damn about this state and hasn't for years. Being a Republican is more important.

3. Did you see Sherrod arriving on the floor to vote?
As he usually steers away from drama, I felt sorry for him, that he had to be the center of attention on this one....

4. I did see him.
I felt bad for him too. The drama plus - I'm sure he could have used some down time with his family instead of flying back and forth to D.C.

5. Because George is a mean-spirited prick.
He is wholly owned by the Republic political apparatus and cannot operate independently of it.

As long as George, his family and backers that own his sorry ass make money off the government, the rest off us can piss off for all he cares.
