Archaeology 101 Day = Serpent Mound/
Friends of Serpent Mound/Arc of Appalachia is sponsoring our annual Archaeology 101 Day this Saturday, Labor Day weekend at Serpent Mound, 10 AM to 5PM. There will be over ten exhibitors of artifacts set up in the picnic shelter area, and the weather forecast looks good right now. There will be guest speakers, including professor of astronomy Jeff Wilson who will discuss the various appearances of Serpent Mound according to numerous mappings before and after the Frederic Putnam reconstruction of the 1880s. There will be refreshments, but bring a snack.
