GATES MILLS, Ohio - As a Vice Presidential candidate in the last election, Sarah Palin rose to a celebrity status far beyond many politicians.

She will be in Northeast Ohio Saturday for a $2,500 a plate fundraiser.

“We’re bringing her in to help what I consider the most precious gift in the world, and that is the gift of life. This is all about being pro-life and helping the pro-life cause,” Umberto Fedeli said.

Fedeli will host the Ohio Right to Life fundraiser at his home in Gates Mills. He admits Palin’s rise to stardom has made her a polarizing personality.

“She’s kind of real and she’s kind of folksy and her style is such that some people really like it. She’s direct and there are others that don’t like it,” Fedeli said.

Fedeli already has a relationship with Palin. They met several times during the last election.

“She’s got tremendous charisma; she’s got great people skills. She’s a wonderful mom. She was a very good governor, a good mayor. She likes to hunt. She likes to fish. She’s kind of a man’s woman, if you will,” Fedeli said.
