(Washington) -- Only one Ohio member of congress crossed party lines on his vote on the health care bill. It's Democrat Zack Space of Dover (see photo), whose district stretches southwest to include Zanesville and Chillicothe.
Space says the vast majority of phone calls to his office have been against the bill. Space says he personally doesn't like the bill for the way it taxes the middle class instead of the wealthy, and he feels it's a windfall for insurance companies.
The rest of Ohio’s congressional delegation voted right along party lines, including those from Greater Cleveland. Republican Steve LaTourette voted against the bill, Democrats Marcia Fudge, Dennis Kucinich, Betty Sutton and John Boccieri voted for it, with Kucinich and Boccieri only making their choices known in the past week.
