Mass e-mail on SB 5 from Ted Strickland.
Now is the time. If ever there was a time to show up, stand up and let our voices be heard, it is now. The fate of Ohio’s middle class is on the line at the Ohio Statehouse.

This coming Tuesday, February 22, the legislature is scheduled to move on Senate Bill 5, a bill that would strip away collective bargaining rights, hurt the middle class, kill jobs and destroy communities. I want to invite you to come to the Statehouse in Columbus on Tuesday to voice your opposition to this bill. Please click here and let us know that you can attend.

So far, thousands and thousands of Ohioans just like you have crowded the Statehouse because the livelihoods of Ohio’s families are on the line. I was so inspired by these crowds that I decided to join them this past Thursday. There’s just too much at stake to let Governor Kasich and the legislature roll back the clock on progress for Ohio’s middle class.

The men and women who are under attack in our Statehouse are not enemies of the state; they are servants of the people. We must all stand together because this fight isn’t just about police, firefighters, teachers and other public employees. It’s about all of us. It’s about whether or not we will be a state that stands up for the middle class. It’s about stopping the dangerous agenda of those who would deprive regular Ohioans of the opportunity to provide a good life for their families.

Please sign up here and come to the Ohio Statehouse (1 Capitol Square, Columbus Ohio 43215) this coming Tuesday, February 22 at 1:00 p.m. Your presence will send a strong message and help our efforts to defeat Senate Bill 5 and the rest of our opponents’ anti-middle class agenda.

In solidarity,

Ted

P.S. We are witnessing history in the Buckeye State. Never in my life have I seen so many Ohioans standing up for their rights and making our government listen to the people it serves. Will you join thousands of like-minded Ohioans at the Statehouse on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. and make your voice heard?

P.P.S. I know that not everyone can make it to the Ohio Statehouse on Tuesday. But everyone can play an important role in helping defeat Senate Bill 5. To find out what YOU can do, simply reply to this e-mail and ask how you can help.
