Ohio gov apologizes to officer he called 'idiot'

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Gov. John Kasich has apologized to a police officer for calling him an idiot.

The governor met privately Thursday with Columbus police officer Robert Barrett, who cited him in 2008 for a traffic violation. Kasich spokesman Rob Nichols said Barrett accepted the apology.

Barrett cited Kasich for passing too close to an emergency vehicle. He told Kasich he'd face an arrest warrant if he didn't show up in court.

The governor said in a videotaped meeting with state employees last month: "He's an idiot. You just can't act that way."

Columbus Police said Thursday that cruiser video from the traffic stop showed Barrett treated Kasich professionally and respectfully.

He holds the people of the State of Ohio in complete contempt. Public employees don't qualify as having "talent" worth paying. A police officer who DARES get in the way of the GREAT John Kasich is an "idiot." Amazingly the state has NO ONE capable of heading up his boondoggle economic development group. We need someone from San Francisco to do that ... who can continue to LIVE in SF. There are NO people of color worthy of being in his cabinet.

We don't have the right to see his inauguration. We DO have the right to pay his salary, but we can have no input.

Kasich isn't just an ass, he is an arrogant ass.
