Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel Breaks Promise To Ohio After Only 83 Days In Office
Ohio's newly elected Treasurer Josh Mandel, after only 83 days in office, has decided to abandon his campaign promise to serve a full term as Treasurer and run against Sherrod Brown.

So what do we know about Josh Mandel? We know he won’t take a position on Senate Bill 5 and stand with the working men and women of Ohio the way Sherrod Brown always has. We also know that less than a few months into his job as Treasurer he’s already looking to move on. Sounds like Josh Mandel only cares about… Josh Mandel.

I would actually LOVE it if this little weenie ran against MY Senator (and my favorite Senator in Washington) Sherrod Brown. Brown would mop the floor with him. We need to keep Sherrod Brown in office at least until 2016, because I would LOVE to see him run for President.

1. He doesn't stand a chance
against Sherrod Brown. As a matter of fact....I don't think anybody does. I love Sherrod Brown and will pound the pavement for him. I too would love to see our great Senator Brown mop the floor with that pip squeek

4. If Brown Runs For President In '16..............
...............I plan to do everything in my power to get him elected, including working for his campaign. That's how much I believe in this guy. And it has nothing to do with the fact that he's from my hometown and that his mom and my dad worked together (OK, it might have a LITTLE to do with that).

2. He'll be easy to squash.
Now that voters have found out what they have gotten themselves into with Kasick et al., they will stampede to reelect Sherrod.

5. Wow! It took 83 days?
I thought it would be sooner. He is a Rethuglican in Columbus, after all.

That being said ... the OTHER great Rethuglican mind making noises about running for the Senate in 2012 is Kevin Coughlin, the noxious former state senator from Summit County.

Maybe he and Josh can duke it out in the primary, and we'll all work our tails off to get Sherrod re-elected.
